My fiancé called off our wedding, I contracted a virus in a New Orleans bar that’s left me craving blood, and now, some guy has just found me with someone else’s blood on my hands telling me he will keep it a secret if I join him on a search for his lost amulet… Well, maybe that’s all just the half truth.
Author Statement
This novelette is completed at 10,500 words / nine chapters and will be posted weekly on Friday’s at 14:00 CST while I work on edits for Act 2 of my main serial Blackwater Canyon, a dark fantasy x mystery novel that explores fantastical politics behind spirit possession.
While the cemeteries visited and histories discussed in this limited series detail physical places in the American gulf coast, individual names discussed on headstones are fiction, any overlap with real name(s) are coincidence.
If you are interested in mood music to set the rhythm of this story, I have included a ‘theme song’ with each chapter.
